Introducing our newest member!

Welcome Rigden Carlyle Hunter! Yes, we welcomed another handsome boy into our family on June 3, 2011. He was born at 8:07 a.m. by c-section. He weighed 7 lbs 6 0z and was 19 3/8 inches long. He is the runt of the family. But we love him dearly. The boys all want to hold and mall him to pieces which is good but I am sure Rigden gets a little sick of it at times. Rigden is a good baby. I can't complain. I am enjoying him a lot and love having a newborn around these days to keep me company.

The new addition

Since it has been such a long time and I have so many things that I need to get caught up on and don't have the time or the space on this blog to do it with I will just start with our new addition that will be arriving in about 9 weeks. Yes, we are expecting a new baby to our family. It is a boy!!! We are all excited for his arrival and can't wait to meet him. The challenge at the moment is coming up with a name since we have already used the boy names that we really like. This baby might be baby boy Hunter for a few days unless someone can give me a cute name that ends in "DEN." The other three boys all end with this and I would like to keep the tradition. We call our clan the "Hunter Den." Judd and myself have finsihed his room and are waiting to finish the two basement bedrooms so each child can have their own room. Grayden can't wait, I put Drexden in the bunk bed with him and he is not too happy about his living arrangements at the time. He can't wait to sleep down stairs in his "new room" The room should be finished by the middle of April if all goes as planned. I will post pictures of the final results.

I am such a slacker!

I can't believe I have allowed myself to not post anything on my blog for so long. I have no excuses, no one to blame but myself. I guess I need to be a lot better about writting something down if I want to use this as my journal for my children when they get older.

Hello First Grade... Goodbye Kindergarten

Grayden survived a good year in Kindergarten. What a great year he had! Grayden and I loved his teacher, Mrs. Barnett. She was always very positive with Grayden and he never hated learned from her. She was able to help Grayden in so many ways I will be forever grateful to her for her patience and understand and most of all her great teaching ablilty. Now if I could just bottle her up and take her to 1st grade I believe Grayden will excell.
His graduation program was so cute and very well put together. He enjoyed school so much and you could tell from his program. The songs and the actions that the children did were great. Congratulations Grayden! We love you and can't wait for the ride you will take us on in 1st grade.

We're all moved in and the work has begun!

Yes we had a successful move and the boxes are all unloaded, for the most part! (There are still those that I just don't want to deal with yet, there is time for that right!) We have started in the process of making this home our HOME!!! It has been so fun. I still need lots of ideas for empty walls and such.
We have also begun the process of yard ward. I love to be outside in the yard and this past weekend Judd, myself and the boys spend the entire Saturday removing overgrown weeds from our weed patch in the backyard. What a challenge. I never want to see another tumble weed, sunflower stem or anything else that might resemble a weed again. It was a lot of work and after 5 loads to the compost dump here in town, we were successful in de weeding our backyard. Now, what do we do with it? For now I hope to just POUR ONE ENTIRE BOTTLE OF ROUND UP ON THE AREA and be done with it for a while. But time will tell! Over the week I also sent Judd out in the down pouring rain to put fertilzer on the grass because it just is not the same as our other grass and I want it to be green and lush like we had before. I hope his efforts work.

Happy St. Patricks Day

St. Patricks Day is usually not a big deal at our house but the for the last couple of years, a Leprachun has found his way into our house and destroyed it every March 17. It is a good thing that he leaves a treat after all the trouble he leaves for me to clean up. Grayden woke up first this morning and to his suprise he found chairs tipped over, back packs thrown on the floor, m&m's scatter everywhere, a box of Lucky charms and sugar cookies with green clover sprinkles on them, and also when he went to get the milk out the fridge it was green. Oh yuck!!! And he let Panther outside for the night. He is a naughty Leprachun but the kids sure loved looking for him this morning. They want to find him so that they can steal his pot of gold and be rich.

HAPPY ST. PATRICKS DAY!

Randomness about the kids

I can't believe that my oldest child is in scout and has already earned his Wolf badge. It was so exciting to see Holden progress and be excited himself for such a great accomplishment. I am so proud of Holden. He loves scouts and working towards his eagle scout. I know he has a ways to go but don't blink, he will be earning his Eagle Scout award before we know it. I love you Holden keep up the good work.

Grayden is growing like a weed! He loves school and is learning by leaps and bounds. I can't believe he is almost finished with kindergarten and will be starting 1st grade soon. I think Drexden and myself will be bored when Holden and Grayden are gone all day everyday. Grayden never ceases to amaze me though. The other day I had just got home from work and I always leave the kids clothes laying out for them so we never have the clothes battle every morning. This morning was no exception to the rule and I found Grayden like this.......

Yep, his clothes were three times to small but he was okay with that! Come to find out he had put on Drexden clothes and his were still sitting in the pile I left for him. But he still looks so cute. I love you Grayden, just keep being you!

Drexden is growing and loving life. That is no suprise to anyone though. He loves being a boy and doing all of those crazy boy things in life. He is my best buddy while the other two are at school. He is always trying his hardest to brighten my day. I love you little buddy
