So Drexden's big day has come and gone and he was spoiled by everyone! His party was a big success and I believe everyone enjoyed themselves. Thanks everyone for the great gifts. He loves all of them.
The worst part to the day was the traumatic injury that Drexden sustained to his left thumb. While Judd and him were opening his presents that morning, Judd had his pocket knife out getting all of the wires cut off of his buzzlightyear toy and happen to set it down by him and Drexden being the child that he is decided that he needed to see Judd knife so he ran over to grab the knife and Judd reached down at the same time and stopped him causing Drexden to grab the blade and cut his thumb. Crying and screaming soon followed and then the reality that the cut was a lot worse than Judd had thought. 20 minutes later and still no sign of the blood stopping we took Drexden to the insta care in Springville still crying and screaming that it was his birthday. No stitches were needed but this cut is going to take some time to heal. He took a big chunk of his thumb pad out of the top of his left thumb. A pressure dressing is in place for the next couple of days and we will see from there. Sorry little man for the trauma on your Birthday. We love you though and hope your thumb is going to be okay.
